Jeseníky Mountains
Havens of peace, adventurous sporting grounds, romantic outings, beautiful landscapes – Jeseníky has a place for everyone. Considering that Hrubý Jeseník is the second highest mountain range in the Czech Republic after the Giant Mountains, the dense network of marked hiking, cycling and cross-country skiing trails, as well as countless vacation resorts and sports centers, is a given.
The region’s ski resorts, such as Ovčárna on Praděd, Malá Morávka – Karlov, Červenohorské sedlo, Zlaté Hory, and the Ramzová – Ostružná – Petříkov complex offer the best snow conditions in the country. Skiing is often possible from early November to late May. Explore the Na Pomezí dripstone caves or the beauty of the Rešovské Waterfalls and the waterfalls of Bílá Opava; take a hike through the Rejvíz natural preserve with its peat bogs and mossy lakes; restore your strength and energy in the spa towns of Lázně Jeseník, Karlova Studánka or Velké Losiny; climb one of the numerous view towers; or visit one of the countless castles, chateau and ruins. Take a romantic vacation in the saddle at one of the local horse ranches. Enjoy Jeseníky to your heart’s content.
