The most interesting locations around Karlštejn will be linked from the summer season of 2011 by a trail called the ‘Karlštejn Chessboard’, the longest such route in the country. The route has an intriguing feature – the largest chessboard in the world.

At this museum visitors can see a collection of old Czech nativity scenes carved from wood as well as very rare examples made of sugar or bread.
