From a legal perspective, the situation is unambiguous – the title of the "smallest city" logically belongs to the smallest municipality with a town hall. And this is Přebuz.

The smallest municipality in the Czech Republic is Březina, in the district of Vyškov (South Moravia Region). As of 1 Jan 2007, it had a population of only 5.

The Hranice Abyss is the deepest abyss in the Czech Republic and Central Europe. Its most recently verified depth is 289.5 metres. No probe or min-sub has yet reached its bottom. The entire area is part of the Hůrka National Nature Reserve.
