The complex of Zvíkov Castle, which lies approx. 20 km from Písek, is permanently open to the public all year round and leads through to the local dock. The ramparts offer lovely views over the Vltava and Otava and a lookout point is also being prepared over their confluence.

Orlík Reservoir is part of the Vltava Cascades, its dam stemming the flow of the Vltava by Solenice in the Příbram district. The dam lake gained its name from the chateau, which once jutted out over the deep valley of the Vltava and is nowadays located only a few metres above the surface of the dam lake.

You can use the regular trips and connections of První orlická on the Orlík lake as well as on the Hněvkovice Reservoir (Hluboká nad Vltavou). You can thus combine trips by boat not only with a tour of Orlík Chateau and Zvíkov Castle, but also with a tour of Hluboká Chateau.
