Svatá Hora (Holy Mountain) near Příbram

This Baroque place of pilgrimage on a hill over the town is the most significant and oldest Marian place of pilgrimage in the Czech Republic. The present early baroque look with central basilica minor, cloisters, chapels and terraces was given to the complex by architect Carlo Lurago between 1658 and 1709. Painter Petr Brandl and sculptor Jan Brokoff also contributed to its decoration.
