Punkva Caves

For those of you who are interested in the subterranean world, Moravian Karst has a lot to offer. There is access to five different caves including the famous Punkva Cave. The biggest attraction of the tours is a visit to the bottom of Macocha abyss and sailing on the subterranean river Punkva. During the cruise you can look into the most beautiful areas of the caves one of which is called Masaryk Dome and look at its stalactite formations.

Balcarka Cave

Balcarka Cave in Ostrov u Macochy with its dripstone decoration is arguably the grandest cave in the Moravian karst area. The new tour takes in part of the cave which once housed a museum, opened for a short time in 1938. This means the tour route has been extended by 150 metres.

Kateřinská Cave

The cave is made up of huge interconnected halls and corridors. It was opened up to the public in 1910. The main hall measures 95x44x20 metres and is the largest publicly accessible underground space in the Moravian karst area.
