Two new attractions await visitors to Prague Castle starting from July 2010. Prague Castle Administration has opened the South Tower of St. Vitus Cathedral to the public as well as the orangery in the Royal Garden.

The Cathedral of St Vitus is the largest and most significant place of worship in the capital. In addition to religious services, Czech kings and queens were once crowned here. It is also where the remains of the Czechs’ patron saints lie, as well as those of rulers, noblemen and archbishops.

This walk through Prague city centre is for families with children from 4 to 8 years of age. It’s an interesting way for children to learn a little about the Old Town Square, Josefov, Charles Bridge and Vyšehrad.

Since 1949 tourists have been able to travel along the Castle Route which begins in Germany. In April of 2009 the route celebrated its 55th birthday.
